Debit Card Blues
Weird sleeping/non-sleeping last night with some disturbing dreams. Then, I woke up realizing that I didn't know where my debit card was. I bought coffee after soccer with Mike and may have left it at the coffee place. Damn! I called and learned I have to wait until one person shows up to see if I've left it there.
And my iPod is not getting out of the mode that says: Disk mode. Ok to disconnect. WTF?
So, some good progress on the chapters. On ch. 66 now, I think. I'm not having to change much really, in the way of structure. Just some cleaning up.

Yesterday was problematic, but I feel better today. Have some errands to do today and a planned visit later to see my folks since we missed my dad's 92nd b-day while at the retreat.

One step at a time? Am I taking those steps? Seems like I've been walking in place lately. Today, I'm going to make some calls, figure some things out. Work on my last Norwescon manuscript.

Peace.

as for your iPod -- impossible to say for sure, but you might want to check the USB connection to the computer -- I kept getting something like that and that was the problem. Worth trying, anyway.

I didn't see that the connection was the problem and I thought maybe in HOW I disconnected it. . .but I just ended up letting it cycle through the latest update and it seemed to reset after that.
Thanks!

Oh, Honna, I'm sorry about the debit card. If you don't find it this morning, you should probably call the bank, cancel it and order a new one. With all the little self-serve machines at places like Target and Walmart, it's too easy for someone to just run your card.

But I know cancelling it is a pain because then you'll have to get by on cash and your credit card for about a week. Did you still use a check book? That might help.

But hopefully, the coffee shop has the card for you.

J.C. lost his entire wallet on the CU campus a few months ago . . . and what a headache that was! And the day after we canceled his credit cards and debit card, someone turned the wallet in at the recreation center, but at least then we didn't have to replace his driver's license and SS card.

I hope you find your card this morning.

Haven't found the card yet. I need to call today (I thought Patrick had yesterday!) to cancel it.

Glad that J.C. didn't have to go through replacing the license and SS card. I keep my SS card at home. I know a gal whose purse was stolen and she had all that in her purse as well as her birth certificate!

ipod suggestion... try a reset.

Hold down the middle button and then (while middle button is held down) pressing the top (menu) button and holding that one down too. (So you end up pressing both at same time) Hold them until the ipod turns off. (It takes about 30 seconds-1 minute)It will power back up and hopefully will be reset.

Hey!
You know, when this happened before, I may have accidentally done that reset thing you're suggesting. I tried pushing buttons again, at random, but nothing happened. I probably didn't get the right combo.
I did just let it update to the next version on iTunes and it seemed to reset after that.
so yay! it's back!
